High Point of View is located about four miles east of the coast on Navarro Ridge Road. Coming to High Point of View is taking a step back in time. Navarro Ridge (the old stagecoach road) is still "old Mendocino," including acres of farmland, organic orchard, gardens, old redwood stands, and other rural delights. Although minutes from the historic village of Mendocino, High Point takes you away from the "hub bub." Every visitor notices the peace and quiet.
High Point of View Studio is a separate structure from Karen's and her husband Leonardo's house. High Point Studio enjoys perfect north light and a view of surrounding redwoods and meadow, a fabulous place in which to paint. The studio can easily accommodate up to six artists with ample room to do large work. An octagon shaped meditation room (sometimes guest quarters) sits above the studio space, a great benefit to an artist's peace of mind.
In addition to High Point Studio is the charming Garden Cottage Studio. Off by itself in a corner of the property, it's a lovely place to paint inside or out.
